Alaverdi Monastery is a Georgian Eastern Orthodox monastery located 25 km from Akhmeta, in the Kakheti region of Eastern Georgia.

The Arpa is a river that flows through Armenia and Azerbaijan's Nakhichevan exclave. It originates in the Vayots Dzor province (marz) of Armenia and is as a left tributary of the Aras. Arpa river begins at an altitude of 3200 m and has its origins in the northwest of Artsakh. The total length is 126 km (in Armenia, 90 km).

The Battle of Sardarabad was a battle of the Caucasus Campaign of World War I that took place near Sardarabad, Armenia from 22 to 29 May 1918, between the regular Armenian military units and militia on one side and the Ottoman army that had invaded Eastern Armenia on the other.
